Dr. David Strahle thought he was living his best life. He wasn’t. David came to medicine late in life. After short lived careers in aviation and technology, David found his calling in helping people through medicine. His introduction to the profession was rocky, as his first patient became a victim of the malice and greed often unseen within the industry. Overcoming this potentially career-ending tragedy, David went on to become a very successful doctor and pilot. He built the largest private radiology practice in the state of Michigan, was instrumental in creating imaging protocols that saved thousands of women’s lives, and helped to develop real time weather radar for pilots nationally. David believed he was doing his best for himself and his family.

But putting his all into his profession and avocation left little time for anything or anyone else. David’s family thrived and prospered without his attention. And as happens so often, separate lives were created, as life passed by.  When tragedy strikes again, David is left to determine the real value of his life and how what was truly important to him, never became a priority.

GROUNDED is the story of how good intentions fail to materialize and how our entitlement in life usually ends up surprising us.  A story for our time, for all of us who believe what society tells us is true.
