DIRECTOR'S STATEMENT

“GROUNDED is a very important film for several reasons. First, it’s a true story I wrote about a very dear lifelong friend. But more so, David’s story resonates with anyone who has lived long enough to understand how life happens. So much of life is affected by momentum. And try as we might to control all the variables in life, momemtum can sometimes take us in directions we never dreamed of.  If you ever lay awake at night wondering, or wake up before the sun rises reflecting, this story will speak to you. GROUNDED is a genuine story of love.

Bob Brown has been a filmmaker for 25 years. Starting as a producer, Bob has created 15 independent films working from his home state of Michigan. Throughout his career, Bob has worked with such notable actors as Jeff Daniels, Kathy Bates, Jessica Lange, Joan Allen, Tom Skeritt, Christine Baranski, Harve Presnell, Kurtwood Smith, Robert Taylor, Radha Mitchell, Tom Amandes, and many others. He has a reputation of building strong teams that create successful, award winning feature and documentary films. GROUNDED is Bob’s writer/ director debut.

EXECUTIVE PRODUCER BIO

Dr. David Strahle is founder of the largest private radiology practice in the State of Michigan and a pioneer in the field of early breast cancer diagnostics, specifically breast MRI screening. He is also a skilled pilot and flight instructor having accumulated over 20,000 flight and ground-based instructor hours. A published doctor and aviator, David is a frequent guest lecturer in both the medical and aviation communities.
